I have always wanted to build a 1959 Cadillac hearse in 1:24th scale. But no model company ever issued one. When I closed my hobby shop, in the left over stock was three Ghostbusters hearse kits. I built one as the original movie car. Another I left factory sealed. The third I findly built my 1959 Superior hearse.

I had to putty holes in the top and smooth them out. Then I changed the interior to suit a stock factory hearse. The body I painted the original hearse gloss black and the interior is a dark rose with a white pearl steering wheel.

Next was the drapes. I found a set of actual hearse drapes on the internet. I copied them, changed the color to semi match the rose interior, enlarged them, printed them off, cut them out and installed them into the model.

The coffin in this display is a prop I made from balsa wood and glue to go with the several hearse models in my collection.
